『京都新聞』1948年５月31日朝刊に、「近江絹糸を摘発 軍隊調で工員か搾取 二重帳簿で手当支払いゴマ化す」という見出しの記事が掲載され、本文中に「全部が寄宿舎に収容され…自治委員会も一応もたれているが、その中に寮生係をも含み…」と寮自治委員会の記述が見られる。「（『近江絹糸人権争議の研究』上野輝将,2009,部落問題研究所pp.53-54参照）。この自治委員会が旧寮自治会またはその前身と見られる。旧寮自治会組織の解散については、シリーズ５「近江絹糸紡績寮自治会」の履歴を参照のこと。
